This position may be based as100% remote or in one of our offices. As a direct report to senior technology leadership you will interface directly with those leaders to transform our current business and technology capabilities and pave the way for best-in-class solutions. You will be a dedicated partner to our Technology and Business organization as you define a target state, roadmaps and identify new and emerging technologies that will transform and optimize the business. As an organizational leader yourself, you will humbly serve and inspire a team of high-performing Architects who you will coach, mentor and empower. As a successful candidate, you are a visionary leader with a track record of building high-quality enterprise solutions. You are results-driven and bring strong Architecture and engineering skills and a deep understanding of modern technologies including Cloud-native, APIs, AI and ML. You are a person of high integrity, who believes in challenging the status quo when needed, while always first seeking to understand.You will work within an dedicated architecture community charged with establishing and evolving a unified architecture vision.The primary responsibilities of this role include the following:Architecture responsibility within a major segment of Technology Architecture in support of a business unitWorks with the Senior leadership within Technology and Business to develop architecture priorities and direction to enable business imperativesDisplays strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern architecture principals and technology modernizationDrives continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debtCreate a partnership with Senior Software EngineeringDrive, develop, publish, and communicate cloud security architecture patterns that are consumable across the enterprise.Define best practice cloud security through evaluation of cloud vendorsEstablish security requirements needed to provide services securelyDevelop solutions to measure compliance to published cloud security standardsAssessing and testing existing cloud computing assets, modernizing network security, and encrypting data to secure the system further.Design zero trust into the security ecosystemPerform threat analysis to ensure capabilities are designed to mitigate security risksPartner with software engineers to design cloud security architectures that provide secure capabilities to secure applications and software for accessing the cloud.Design procedures for user access to the system, setting access controls and administrative practicesEducate other workers about secure usage of the company's cloud computing service.Looks for opportunities to capitalize on technology advances through analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential impact on the enterpriseDefines and leads technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutionsHands-on prototyping of new technology solutionsPartner with Software Engineering to execute proof of technologiesDefines target state technology architecture and roadmapsEnsures alignment of IT initiatives with the target stateBuilds strong partnership with engineering to ensure proper alignment of skills with technology directionPrepares and delivers comprehensive communications to convey architectural direction and how it aligns with enterprise strategyOptimizes talent strategy to ensure proper mix of resources and attracts and recruits best talentContinuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the architecture Minimum Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture required.
- 1 year of experience as a technical lead required.
