If so, we may have the ideal role for you with our client in Hartford.This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities of the Data Analytics Engineer:- In this role you will be working with Data Analytics (primarily Teradata) and ETL tools (primarily AbInitio) and Python scripting.
- Leverage DevOps capabilities for continuous integration and deployment to on-premise and Cloud platforms
- Analyze, design, develop, and configure functions quickly and accurately
- Analyze, assess, and resolve complex defects and incidents
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced peers
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 7 years of programming/development experience
- At least 7 years of experience in design and development of transactional, ODS, data warehouse, data marts and data products applications
- Strong programming skills, preferably working with Python (Panda, and NumPy), but strong in Java would also be a fit (they using Groovy which is a subset of Java)
- Experience in ETL / Data Integration tools Talend, Python, Pyspark
- Experience building CI/CD test automation capabilities for Data Analytics
- Experience using Jenkins to build packages for automated code deployment.
- Exposure in Cloud Computing Technologies and related emerging technology: AWS, Databricks, Qliksense
- Experience with one or more Data platforms: MongoDB, Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2
- Experience with ETL or Data Visualization application automated testing framework
- Experience with Automated Code Deployment and CI/CD
- Knowledge of Jenkins, Snowflake, and/or DataBricks a plus
