We also manage the annual delivery of more than 15 million risk information product transactions and process more than $50 billion in premiums through the systems that we manage for our clients.

CGI is looking for an experienced Data Architect with at least 10 years of experience in the Life/Annuity industry to lead our Data Migration COE.

Your future duties and responsibilities• Designing processes to source information from legacy administration systems using: o Code and copybook analysiso Existing batch extraction programso Reporting utilitieso Custom built extraction• Implementing quality process to analyze source and transformed data including: o Data profilingo Reportingo Remediation• Migration at scale including: o ETL o Use of automationo Building repeatable processes for incremental updates• Financial reconciliation between legacy and target systems includingo Financial transaction postingo Point in time analysiso Roll forward• Creating reusable methodology/tools/frameworks to deliver at scale.• Building a team including: o Developing talento Creating training• Supporting sales teams with:o Offeringso Presales materialso Solution development for specific clients

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• Technicalo Extensive background in large data initiatives such as Data Warehouses, Master Data Management, Policy Administration System Migrations, etc.o Hands on exposure to core Policy Administration and New Business systems/platforms.o Hands on exposure to Data Lineage, Data Quality, and similar topic areas.o Hands on exposure to Data modelling toolso Hands on exposure to ETL toolso Understanding of Typical insurance batch data processing environments and issues• Businesso Extensive background across at least 2 of the following product areas:• Traditional Life products (Term, Whole, UL, etc.)• Annuity Products (Fixed, Variable, Hybrid)• Group/Voluntary/Worksite Products (Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, etc.)• Working knowledge of key financial/reconciliation issues associated with data including:o Experience leveraging industry-standard models including• Acord• IBM IIW• Ideal candidate has a mix of in-house (Carrier IT) and consulting experience.• Should have built teams including business analysts and systems analysts• Must have strong customer facing skills including:• Articulating technical/business solutions• Presales presence• Presentations (PPT, in person, virtual)• Ability to establish credibility as a Trusted Advisor to clients• Skill Set Years of Experience Proficiency Level
