The candidate will serve in the capacity of a System Architect will communicate a well-defined vision of how IT and the business will align and make sure that everyone if following the same principles, methodologies, and support activities per the direction of agency management. The specific focus of this candidate will be to ensure that new systems are built in a way that best ensures that functional requirements are met whilst also ensuring that service qualities (Performance, scalability, extensibility, maintainability, security, interoperability) for now and for the future are achievable. In addition this role is responsible for reviewing and improving on existing systems, making use of new technologies and methodologies to seek continual improvement for existing systems. The candidate will work to create a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.In the role of the Business Intelligence Developer the following services are required:• The Business Intelligence (BI) developer is responsible for BI design and development including; dashboards, data visualization, charts, graphs, data migration, ad-hoc reporting, and data validation.• Must be proficient in SQL, BI tools including Business Objects, data warehouse concepts, enterprise application systems, processes, and have strong communications skills.• Takes initiative to propose BI solutions to the business and is able to follow the idea from proposal through to implementation.• Under limited supervision (working individually or as part of a project team), perform research and build complex analytic solutions to support business operations.• Collaborate with development leads and business analysts to identify needs and set priorities and ensure delivery.• Work with BI teams and business partners to understand the business data and further enable business reporting from various analytical platforms.• Analyze user requirements, and based on findings, design and build effective and high performing analytic solutions that are in accordance with business customer priorities and business intelligence/data warehousing best practices.• Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary.• Maintain technical documentation for solutions• Research solutions to user problems• Translating high level design into specific implementation stepsIn addition, the agency requires:• For this position, the candidate shares experience and judgment with team to plan and accomplish goals, mentors less experienced staff, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.• In addition, the agency requires:An experience professional with demonstrating the following knowledge and skills:• 6+ years Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services• 6+ years Experience with SQL Development• 6+ years Experience with SSIS Development• 6+ years Experience with Visual Studio• Knowledge of Report Design• Knowledge of Reporting Dashboards• Knowledge of Data Extraction, Data Transformation, and Data Acquisition• Knowledge of Application Modeling and Design• Designing enterprise-level reporting• Designing/modifying data warehouses• Developing complex/multi-data source queries• Developing complex SQL queries and reports• Knowledge of Extract, transform, load (ETL)Additional Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with OLAP• Experience with DW/DM• Experience with Analytics
