Accounting ClerkEmployment Type: Full TimeDate Posted: 6/22/2022Location: RemoteJob Number: JO-2206-1906Primary FunctionThe Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to the Staff Accountant and project billing team for the regional division located in Falls Church, Virginia. This position reports to the Divisional Project Billing Lead and ultimately to the Corporate Billing Director who is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcess freelance vendor bills including proper coding and ensuring all required information is collected and accurate
Prepare revenue imports for each freelance vendor bill ensuring that all required reporting metrics are included
Complete daily and/or weekly packages for sending to the corporate accounts payable department located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Respond to operational inquiries on freelance vendor payment status
Follow up on missing vendor information and track items pending processing due to missing information Ensure that all freelance and vendor payments are processed accurately and timely
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies within the appropriate time
Support the staff accountant and project billing accountants with billing tasks, accounts receivable tasks, accounts payable tasks, and completion of special projects
Other duties assigned as needed
Skills & QualificationsStrong problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail and an eye for spotting errors and discrepancies
Ability to prioritize work
Proficient with Excel
Strong communication – written and verbal - and customer service skills with the ability to see issues through to resolution
Demonstrated ability to interact with different experience levels of accounting staff and Operations Managers within the company
Must have the ability to manage competing demands and deliver within required deadlines
Education & Experience1-2 years accounting experience
