Roles/Responsibilities· Working across agile cloud migrations and cloud transformational projects.· Manage SQL Server databases throughout the Database Development Lifecycle (DBLC), Planning, Requirements Gathering, Design, Implement, Testing & Performance tuning, Operation and Maintenance.· Migrating SQL Server Databases to Azure IaaS, SQL Server Managed Instance and/or Azure SQL Databases.· Ensure that storage, archiving, back-up, and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.· Assist developers with both performance and query tuning.· Produce reports and queries to outline and provide required information to clients.· Handing over solutions to Managed Service team.· Working with key people in our global IT departments to provide secure, reliable Shared Services.· Create shared database farms and consolidate isolated DBs to reduce cost· Leverage cloud-based technology to improve cycle times and reduce cost· Architectural design decisions to ensure availability, performance and scalability· Research and recommend improvements to existing database services

Required Qualifications• Proficient in both SQL Server Always-On and SQL Server Failover Cluster Instance (FCI).• Proficient in SQL Server security best practices such as authentication, authorization, least privilege, audit access, Always encrypted and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).• Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server.• Expert Skills in Azure to Azure IaaS, SQL Server Managed Instance and/or Azure SQL • MySQL • PostgreSQL • Oracle • SQL Server • Cassandra • MongoDB • MongoDB Atlas• Ability to monitor system health and performance to ensure SQL Server maintains the desired performance expectations.• Ability to monitor and provide proactive alerting.• Experience configuring backup and recovery for specific Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objects (RTO) requirements.• Experience configuring Microsoft SQL Server for different availability requirements.• Ability to author and tune Microsoft SQL Server queries.• Develop SQL Server stored procedures.Manage and monitor SSIS, SSRS and SSAS instances
