  • Strong domain knowledge in JDA/Red Prairie WMS solution to understand how the JDA solutions can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for user and management level audiences.
  • Assists Architects/project managers in planning efforts.
  • Creates and modifies procedural and system documentation throughout the lifecycle of the System
  • Develops and executes test scripts to ensure JDA software consistently meets the customer's business objectives. Develops technical specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens that meet the customers' business objectives and are of sound design.
  • Interact closely with Development services in modification development, quality delivery and organizing demonstrations with customers on modifications.
  • Provides non-technical support during the "go-live" period. Provides primary user support and verifies that the system provides the required business functions and maintains data integrity.
  • Serves as a technical liaison and attends and contributes to key meetings between Project Manager, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors.
Mandatory skills: WMS product, Solution Integration, Quality Assurance, System Testing, PLSQL, SQL Server, and Performance Tuning Responsibilities:
  • Conducts technical analysis sessions with clients and/or the project team to understand the technical needs of the client and develops technical solutions to meet those needs.
  • Provide variety of technical support to the project team; including quality assurance/design review, environment setup, software installation, configuration, report and label generation, operation consulting, troubleshooting, system testing & programming.
  • Works as a senior member of a consulting team on product implementation, enhancement, managed services, integration, custom projects either at the customer site or offshore.
  • Co-ordinates ongoing build / Enhancements related activities
  • Designs and develops platform workflow/ user interface, integration scripts, ETL mapping, data modeling and data loading.
Desired skills and experience:
  • Expertise in technical configuration of WMS product, Solution Integration, Quality Assurance, System Testing, PLSQL, SQL Server, and Performance Tuning.
  • Hands on Experience on Technical configuration of WMS product (preferably JDA WMS Discrete ) , Jasper reports, Nice labels, Pagebuilder and MOCA.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge on interfaces between WMS and ERP/Host, TMS, WLM, T&T, Parcel, 3rd party system that integrates with WMS.
  • Knowledge on integration between WMS and Voice / Material Handling / ASRS systems
  • Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent computer skills with in-depth knowledge of operating systems, client/server technology, ERP systems, Integration and Middleware technologies and applications
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with customers, partners and consultants
  • Strong proactive communicator and presenter, able to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organization to maximize problem resolution while effectively presenting information and responding to highly specialized technical questions
  • Ability to effectively and proactively work independently

  • Contributes to the growth of the technical consulting practice by developing and maintaining practice aids, databases, best-practice collateral.
  • Knowledge in performance tuning techniques is added advantage.
  • Provides guidance to Support Services in responding to base technical issues.
  • Understanding and experience with the technical requirements for the product line assigned.
  • Understanding of Database structures. Understanding of various technical platforms and infrastructures.
  • Understands JDAs product suite so as to convey relationships and touch-points to the customer.
  • Works with appropriate parties to ensure issues are resolved.
