The position is well suited for someone who likes working in a dynamic, high-stakes and fast-paced environment, and that can leverage strong organizational skills to prioritize and tackle the challenges facing our project teams. This professional will have the opportunity to interact across all aspects of Black & Veatch’s business and leadership, and develop the support required to solve the problem at hand. This position also will allow for a flexible work location and present the opportunity to travel to project sites when needed to develop claim support.#LI-NK1Key ResponsibilitiesAt the direction of and in coordination with Dispute Resolution Counsel and the Director of Claims, work with project teams leadership to assess and develop defensible cost and schedule impact claims, including taking the lead in gathering and development of support for claims

Assist in developing claim strategy, with particular focus on developing cost and schedule impacts to support project claims

Draft reports, presentations and other supporting claim documentation reflecting cost and schedule impacts

Work with and assist BV Dispute Resolution counsel (including, as applicable, outside counsel) in the management of outside cost and schedule consultants to the extent required for a particular matter

Working with project teams to develop auditable and defensible claims for losses on insurance claims, including builder’s all risk and professional liability

Develop and deliver training to project management and project controls professionals across BV with respect to forensic cost and schedule claim methodology to assist in improving those commercial skills among our project teams

Minimum QualificationsFour-year Bachelor's degree

10+ years experience in project controls or other similar experience with forensic cost and schedule analysis

All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred QualificationsExperience leading teams

Excels in performing forensic cost and schedule analysis, including delay, prolongation and extension, disruption and loss of productivity.

Communicates and builds trust effectively with team, as well as project leadership

Strong relationship skills, both with internal team and organizationally
