Imagine loving what you do and where you do it.Target Openings 2Job Description Summary The Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives partners with leaders across primary business and multiple lines of business across Travelers to drive holistic strategic planning efforts ensuring alignment and integration across Strategy & Business Planning activities. This leader will be responsible leading macro business analysis, development & refinement of strategies, articulation of future capabilities needs and assessment of conceptual ideas that feed into strategic execution.Travelers offers a hybrid work location model that is designed to support flexibility. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong relationship within the Digital Enablement leadership team
- Partner with other organizations, inclusive of other Strategic Planning & Execution organizations (SP&E), to ensure alignment on purpose, progress, and resource requirements needed to achieve business objectives.
- Establish engagement model with Business Units to drive more holistic and robust planning, initiative prioritization, resource planning and strategic roadmap development.
- Partner closely with Agile/Delivery practices to evolve organizational operating and governance model to align with agile best practices and processes.
- Build out management information reporting & planning function for Digital Enablement to inform departmental planning, strategic decision making and demonstrate organizational impact and value delivery.
- Develop strategic planning process and infrastructure business leadership, providing guidance and effective direction to ensure operating divisions are aligned to overall goals and vision.
- Provides strong strategic leadership, direction, and execution focus to Strategy, Planning and Operations team, leading with a diverse and inclusive mindset and proactively engaging team members so they reach their full potential.
- Bachelors degree.
- 7 years business experience.
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
- 7 years of Strategy, Planning & Execution (SP&E) experience preferred.
- Experience managing Agile project teams preferred.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience developing multi-year technology strategies and roadmaps
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Experience working with advanced project-management methodologies and Agile principles.
- Experience in developing strong, trusted partnerships with senior executives and constituent partners.
