Responsibilities Include:

Release Coordination
  • Responsible for the planning and coordination of all phases and activities involved in the release of a system or system update into the production environment
  • Facilitates release meetings and develops the release recommendation and release deployment plan based on input from stakeholders project teams
  • Identify priorities, conflicts, dependencies, and risks for a release
  • Confirms the release deployment plan is followed and that all release deliverables (usually in the form of Release Activities or entry/exit criterion) have been completed inline with the release dates and deadlines
  • Maintains and tracks release notes, approvals, communications, contact lists and pre and post-release verification activities
  • Coordinates and schedules key change to production activities. This includes the tracking of all elements with team leads as the project moves through testing regions into production. Accommodates a flexible schedule as most releases occur outside of regular business hours.
  • Supports release execution by monitoring of each phase of the release. Validates the release as it progresses thru various release gates and test phases, alerts appropriate stakeholders of any errors or issues that need to be addressed.
  • Provides release coordination and communication during and after deployment.
  • Creates requests for change (RFC to production) and obtains appropriate approvals.
  • Facilitates emergency releases from production incident identification to incident closure after release.
  • Verifies capture of acceptance/signoff on deliverables

Implementation
  • Installation of software products such as WAS ND, WESB, and WSRR
  • Software deployment, support and maintenance of multiple web and application servers
  • Implementation and configuration of new system interfaces for applications on multiple platforms
  • Experience in full life-cycle experience in the analysis, design, development, and promotion of Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions
  • Testing and troubleshooting web and application server configurations

Support
  • Application code deployment
  • Identify, analyze and resolve technical problems
  • Install and configure file exchange logic specifically using Axway B2Bi and CFT solutions
  • Change management processes

Documentation
  • Create, modify and maintain application and technology process flow diagrams
  • Create, modify and maintain web and application support procedures

AWS Related
  • Provide best-in-class customer support for AWS Cloud Infrastructure, including optimization and configuration of customer AWS environments.
  • Perform daily system monitoring and troubleshooting for Mission customers, which includes verifying the integrity and availability of cloud infrastructure, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, live data feeds, and batch processing
  • Communicate with vendors and other teams about technical issues
  • Write knowledge base articles and runbooks for commonly asked questions or frequently reported issues, including root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Perform changes to infrastructure outside of documented runbooks such as software upgrades and patching
  • Lead technical projects to deploy new tools or features
  • Mentor LAN Support Team and Help Desk staff

Skills/Experience required:
  • B2B Implementation
  • Managed File Transfer
  • EDI, SSH, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS and AS2 protocols
  • IBM WebSphere Application Server
  • IBM Enterprise Service Bus
  • IBM WebSphere Message Broker
  • IBM Certified System Administrator preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • 3+ years hands on experience managing AWS cloud workloads, especially EC2, RDS, VPC, and CloudWatch
  • 3+ years hands on experience building and configuring workloads, EC2 instances, RDS, VPC’s, etc…
  • 3+ years of Linux System Administration experience (Linux and Windows)
  • Experience managing high-volume networks and large traffic websites, including the IT infrastructure
  • Experience configuring network firewalls, VPN, Routers/Switches, and Load Balancers
  • Experience with web server applications (Apache, nginx, Tomcat, IIS) and administrating web application environments (LAMP, RoR, Java, or ASP.NET)
  • Experience managing and configuring DNS, CDNs, SSL and Load Balancing
  • Experience automating repetitive tasks to build efficiency (Ansible, Python, or Bash)
  • Experience with MySQL or SQL Server infrastructure
  • Experience in a technical customer support role that includes planning, coordinating, problem resolution, and documentation
  • Experience deploying Infrastructure as Code using configuration orchestration tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • AWS Associate Certification a plus
