About the Role

The ForgeRock Administrator will lead the ongoing development of a one-stop IAM solution for the enterprise using ForgeRock technologies. The successful candidate will have a proven record of improving processes and adoption using ForgeRock. The administrator will work closely with our cross-functional project team focused on driving the end-to-end product lifecycle of the tool. The role with our team is part technical project manager, part developer, part administrator, and part analyst as you will be responsible for the executing on the transition to and day-to-day configuration, support, and improvement of ForgeRock.

Experiences Required for This Role

ForgeRock Administration - At least 3 years of experience and use cases with the following:
  • Experience in designing, deploying, and supporting large scale Identity and Access Management solution for the web
  • Thorough knowledge of ForgeRock technology comprising all modules, and a deep understanding of deployment architecture
  • HANDS ON experience with SSO and Federation using SAML, OAuth and OIDC; MFA, Risk Based Authentication, Progressive Profiling
  • Real production-system based knowledge and experience of DevOps with containers using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
  • Working experience of administering cloud platforms (Azure is preferred)
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues, managing logs, monitoring system components and performance, maintaining cloud artifacts, docker images, file-based configurations
  • Use of modern CI/CD tools for delivery and automation
  • Good understanding of integration patterns and best practices
  • Experience with the following:
    • Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle
    • Operating Systems: Windows, Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL/CentOS)
    • SOAP/REST client: SoapUI, Postman, ARC
    • Languages/Frameworks: Java, JavaScript, React/Vue

Digital Platforms, Tools and Discipline - At least 3 years of experience and use cases with the following:
  • Working with large, enterprise-model Salesforce environments
  • Handling all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasks
  • Administering regular internal system audits and prepared for upgrades
  • Coordinating the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests
  • Working independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements
  • Using of productivity and analysis tools to manage iterative delivery: JIRA, Google Analytics, Git Repository, MS TEAMS, Confluence
  • Practical ITIL knowledge and experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

Project Management
  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of security, logging, auditing, policy management, performance monitoring, KPI monitoring for end-to-end process execution
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Explaining complex technical issues to business owners in an easy to understand manner and recommending clearly thought-out solutions
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on ForgeRock.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
  • Ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
  • User stories and acceptance criteria writing for complex agile deployments
  • Developing solutions by designing system specifications, standards and programming
  • Contributing towards technical solution design

Administrative Considerations

The ForgeRock Administrator will work as part of an iterative team using agile sprints. Work will be assigned based on items in the product backlog associated with Website Improvements. These tasks may be adjusted, reduced, or expanded as the project progresses through various phases. The contract employee shall be expected to maintain and provide written documentation on any work performed in conjunction with this engagement.

The engagement will be for a term of up to 12 months. All work will be performed in eight (8) hour shifts, Monday to Friday, excluding State holidays. Position will start as a temporary full-time hire for up to 3 months, then expectation will be that you will become a full-time employee with full benefits.
