This is a 6 month contract to hire opening.Self-motivated software engineer needed for work on fast-paced innovation projects. Must be willing and able to wear many hats including full-time hands-on developer, QA (writing automated tests and manually testing and verifying their own work), DevOps (creating and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipeline), business/system analyst (learning/understanding business process, speaking to business owners and translating their needs into technical implementation).Must have great communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with a small team of like-minded engineers.

Technical skills MUST include:

Must have experience with AWS serverless architectures (NOT just traditional applications packaged in containers to run on AWS EC2)
Strong JavaScript skills (NodeJs/TypeScript)
AWS Lambda
AWS API Gateway
AWS DynamoDB
AWS S3
Experience using Terraform to create/manage infrastructure (NOT just AWS Console)
Must have understanding/experience building and exposing APIs as REST endpoints using AWS Lambdas and AWS API Gateways

Technical skills NICE TO HAVE include:

Experience with AWS event-based technologies (AWS EventBridge or AWS SNS/SQS)
Experience storing/retrieving files with AWS S3
AWS RDS Relational Databases (PostgresQL preferred)
AWS CloudFront
Experience hosting static web applications using AWS Cloudfront and AWS S3 instead of EC2s
HTML/CSS/SASS
JavaScript UI Frameworks (VueJs preferred, React acceptable)
GitHub/GitLab
C# .NET
