Job Description Summary Provides expert operational and business test support for computer systems used internally and externally. Responsible for the development and implementation of the system test plan(s) adhering to established procedures. Manages the effective use of resources to implement assigned projects. Understands the escalation process for approval of the test plan/calendar and for communicating testing discrepancies. Assist team members as needed.

The position will have primary responsibilities of performing BQA activities across Value streams. The individual will be accountable for executing and delivering the assigned project(s) within Product hub, Business Insurance Workstation & other portfolios. Responsible for providing business testing guidance working with Business field users engaging them in UAT and gathering inputs into the Business E2E suite. Tasks require proficient communication, facilitation, critical thinking and partnership skills. Responsibilities include following all BQA practice deliverables and adjust based on the needs of the project/circle and provide the right level of engagement / support. Ensures customer satisfaction through professional communication, follow-up, and responsiveness to issues. Actively seeks opportunities to expand analytical and business knowledge. Continues to develop leadership skills while learning how work assignments address business issues, may begin to provide guidance and mentorship to junior employees/peers.

This position may be based 100% remotely or in one of our offices. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Understand Project Management fundamentals.
  • Gain business knowledge across LOB's.
  • Develop and implement project Quality Assurance Plans.
  • Train and mentor on QA processes.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Independently own and deliver the following within the realm of both Project and BQA support:
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of Agile 2.0 process; seek clarification if needed
  • Meet all deliverable deadlines and report on issues and/or progress with agreed upon frequency
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained (SharePoint etc.) and adhere to rally board defined practices
  • Timely Communication with "all" teams including circle/chapter leadership as appropriate
  • Active participation in driving forward planned strategies
  • Ensure proper use of defined best practices & standards including development and maintenance of artifacts, quality reviews, scope management, sizing, workflow management, Rally tool usage etc.
  • Encourage employees to consistently adopt and utilize defined processes, tools and standards while monitoring and identifying additional standards and practices to be considered for implementation
  • Partner with Business and IT resources to plan, execute, and apply BQA work aligning with BI Initiatives
  • Maintain and build relationships with business customers in: IT, BA, QE (Quality Engineer), Product Owner, Team leads, UX, Implementation leads, business/field users, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Two years of Technology or Business Testing experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
  • Bachelors Degree in Technology or a related field preferred.
  • Four years of Technology, Business Testing, or Quality Assurance experience preferred.

Job Specific Technical Skills & Competencies

Technical Knowledge
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of business applications and processes.
  • Has an expert knowledge of the systems interfaces with the business operations work-flow, and a solid understanding of the corporate and departmental information system strategies.
  • Is proficient in the use of workstation applications related to the testing function.
  • E xperience / exposure to any of the following is a plus: Git (CI/CD), JavaScript, SQL / MongoDB, InfoPath, SharePoint Designer, PowerApps / Power Automate
  • Where appropriate maintains a thorough knowledge of business trends
