CENAXO an established building restoration company is looking for skilled Craftsmen and Construction Laborers as follows:

Restoration Masons, Restoration Carpenters, Industrial Painters, Slate Roofers, Sheet Metal Technicians and Construction Laborers.

Following are brief descriptions of each craft:

A Restoration Mason is responsible for a wide variety of tasks associated with our masonry projects. A Restoration Mason must be safety and quality minded with the ability to be productive on commercial/institutional jobsites. Must be a motivated and deliberate worker and willing to solve problems when necessary. Principle responsibilities include: Determine the kind of tools and equipment that are necessary to complete a task and identify the necessary steps to begin and finish a task to its condition of completion; work with project supervisor to manage inventory at jobsite; maintain equipment and material storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected and secured at all times; lead the positioning, joining, and aligning of construction components, using measuring, leveling, squaring and laser tools (this includes the ability to lay out the construction and integration materials); determine the abrasive tools or machines needed to prepare substrates using grinding, scraping and/or sanding of surfaces such as steel, concrete, stone or wood.

An Industrial Painter must be safety and quality minded with the ability to be productive on commercial/institutional jobsites. A Slate Roofer Craftsman is responsible for a wide variety of tasks including: slate and some flat roofing, architectural sheet metal fabrication done in our fully equipped shop, and installation. A Slate Roofer Craftsman must be safety and quality minded with the ability to be productive on commercial/institutional jobsites. Must be a motivated and deliberate worker and willing to solve problems when necessary. Principle responsibilities include: Determine the kind of tools and equipment that are necessary to complete a task and identify the necessary steps to begin and finish a task to its condition of completion; work with project supervisor to manage inventory at jobsite; maintain equipment and material storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected and secured at all times; lead the positioning, joining, and aligning of construction components, using measuring, leveling, squaring and laser tools (this includes the ability to lay out the construction and integration materials.

A Construction Laborer performs tasks involving physical labor on jobsites. This individual is responsible for providing assistance to skilled personnel including tradesmen, journeymen and project supervisors. Responsibilities include: determining the kind of tools/equipment required to complete a task; possess knowledge of machines/tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance; tend machines that dump concrete, grout, cement, sand, plaster or stucco through spray guns for application to ceilings and walls; tend pumps, compressors and generators to provide power for tools, machinery and equipment, or to heat and move materials such as asphalt; load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.

Required Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver's License, H.S. Diploma or GED. OSHA 10 a plus, but can obtain on job.

These are full-time (sometimes seasonal) positions based out of our office and workshop in the Hartford area.
