Are you ready to go beyond?Job Summary: The Development Operations (DO) organization of Pratt & Whitney is looking for an Manufacturing Engineer Intern responsible for creating work instructions, improving processes and to work special projects with management.The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, communication and team skills as well as an ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements. The candidate should also show an interest in developing and implementing new technologies and lean manufacturing techniques.Key Responsibilities:

Create and approve Summary of Operations for development hardware

Work with CIPT’s to produce manufacturable hardware

Understand Model Based Definition requirements

Grow technical proficiency in all areas manufacturing

Participate in CORE continuous improvement efforts to improve safety and efficiency

Basic Qualifications:

Enrolled in a degree or advanced degree program in mechanical, aerospace, industrial, or manufacturing engineering

Fluent in English (verbal/written)

Minimum GPA of 3.0

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing/assembly shop practices

Active DoD Security Clearance at Secret Level or Higher
