Within the Hand Tools & Storage divisionofStanley Black & Deckerwe are currently looking for a Product Engineerto join our Global Test Lab.In thisrole, you will have the opportunity tohelp design automated testsystems andfixtures to test existing and new products.

What You'll Do:

As a Product Engineer you'll be part of our Engineering team located in New Britain, CT. You'll get to:

-Help manage all phases of the design process for a multitude of products, components, parts, assemblies, andsubassemblies, including drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing, prototyping and documenting results. -Design innovative component/module replacements for existing machinery that improve functioning and extends the life of equipment.-Solid works - and AutoCAD-Pro/E-Creo, Product Center, Workfront, MS Project, MiniTab-Utilize Instrumentation or Data Acquisition (DAQ) and Analysis systems for product testing-Write concise technical reports-Work closely with Design and Project Engineers-Maintain test lab facilities, equipment, fixtures, and electronic panels for product qualification testingYou'll Have:-Bachelor's degree in Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 4 years of design, and specification of medium voltage overhead distribution lines. -Minimum 3 years' experience - 5 years preferred ("hands on") in applied instrumentation using a wide variety of transducers (accelerometers, pressure transducers, load cells, torque sensors, strain gages, LVDTs, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:-BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology -Familiarity using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) or LabVIEW data acquisition (DAQ) and analysis software or DAQ using Digital Oscilloscopes-Familiarity using Experience working on new product development projects-Familiar with mechanical testing of materials (Stress/Strain) -Familiarity with wood working and wood construction -Experience working on or maintaining PCs and Windows operating systems -Familiarity with safety standards/product liability -Basic machine shop skills (operation of drill presses, milling machines, and lathes)What You'll Receive You'll receive a competitive salary and a great benefits plan:
