What You'll DoAs a Master Data Analyst, you'll be part of our Engineered Fastening team. You'll get to:Coordinate the master data requirements with individual work streams. Work with Business Process Owners and IT work stream leads to understand master data requirements including, but not limited to: customers, vendors, pricing, material masters. Cleanse data in legacy systems and develop templates for importing into target ERP. Work within teams to test master data uploads and consequently develop and execute action plans to correct data as needed. Develop and execute data migration plans during cutover to target ERP. Subject matter expert with respect to master data fields and use of fields. Build requirements for cutover data (purchase orders, sales orders, etc.,).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Data streams to include: Material, Vendor, Customer, Pricing and others to be determined
  • Serves as a liaison and point of contact for master data needs for integration needs with target ERP solutions
  • Promote expansion of good master data management practices and use of the master data management solution in additional areas of the business along with promoting data management / ownership and shift mindsets
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize current and future requirements and opportunities for enhanced returns from the enterprise master data management solution
  • Collaborate with company business and technology team members to manage all aspects of the enterprise master data governance solution including planning, standards approach, deployment, daily operation, and training
  • Maintain policies and standards for end-to-end data governance, from master data creation through final destruction
  • Monitor and measure compliance to data standards & processes. Manage all aspects of analytics/metrics as it relates to enterprise master data (completeness, quality, etc.) and communicate relevant information to MDM business partners. Define and measure milestones and criteria for success and provide regular reporting on progress to project leadership
  • Responsible to provide definition of data source and data volume for migration of each object
  • Perform data corrections / cleansing in source data or manage cleansing efforts across other data cleansers
  • Help to define data extraction according to required formats
  • Participate in the data mapping from source to target system and the definition of transformation rules
  • Responsible for the validation of Data Load Files
  • Responsible for the creation of manual data files (as required)
  • Responsible for pre- and post-load data signoffs
  • Participate in testing of the data load programs and issue resolution
  • Responsible for the validation of loaded data on target system vs source systems
  • Participate in the data mapping from source to target system and the definition of transformation rules
  • Responsible for the validation of Data Load Files
  • Responsible for the creation of manual data files (as required)
  • Responsible for pre- and post-load data signoffs
  • Participate in testing of the data load programs and issue resolution
  • Responsible for the validation of loaded data on target system vs source systems

Education & Experience
  • Minimum 2 years delivering complex data management engagements including all phases of the project life cycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live
  • A minimum of 2 years Implementation experience and knowledge in the following three areas: Master Data Management, Data Governance & Data Quality
  • Experienced in business partners (customer & vendor masters)
  • Travel as required (25%, domestic)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, "self-starter" environment
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Team-player with excellent relationship-building
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or equivalent work experience preferred
Communication / Mathematical / Computer Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Excel experience working with complex factors (pivot tables, v-lookup)
