SBD is seeking a Vice President of Analytics Product Management who will shape and own overall product strategy using advanced analytics techniques at an enterprise level. The Vice President of Analytics Product Management will work as an embedded part of the broader Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AIDA) organization to gradually build out the analytics product roadmap across multiple product areas (e.g., supply chain management, sales & marketing, customer experience, pricing) and drive delivery. This role will require a solid understanding of the business, performance management, advanced analytics/data science, and outcomes-driven economy. Based on this understanding, will develop the product roadmap to drive significant impact (increase revenue, reduce cost, reduce time spent on analysis and decision-making) across different businesses with the activation of predictive and prescriptive decision-making processes.

Senior Director of Analytics Commercial Product Management opportunity will provide a great deal of company-wide exposure and professional growth. In this role you will work very closely with advanced analytics/data science organizations as well as key business stakeholders to deliver fast, actionable, intuitive analytics solutions that power data-driven decision making across the entire organization.

Reporting directly to SBD's Chief AI Officer and working with peers in advanced analytics, analytics software development, and business/process execution, you will be responsible for:
  • Providing strategic leadership to team on structure, resourcing & collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Creating executive alignment by defining and communicating an analytically focused product roadmap that improves decision-making, drives transformation, and delivers measurable value
  • Proactively seeking to identify new internal and external business opportunities by leveraging market research and competitive analysis
  • Partnering with VP+ business stakeholders to identify the most impactful problems that could be solved by developing advanced analytics solutions and to successfully launch them to business partners ensuring proper adoption and satisfaction. This would include understanding business processes, mapping key issues/pain points, identifying overall market opportunities, and articulating business value proposition.
  • Brainstorming potential technical solutions that meet business needs, deliver value, and enable scale.
  • Working with the Data Science / Data Analytics team to estimate the intricacy of considered analytics solutions and prioritize them based on potential value, technical complexity, and business readiness.
  • Being an analytics storyteller and translate analytical capabilities into easily consumable business insights.
  • Managing trade-offs and guiding decisions about analytics product priorities given business goals and resource limitations.
  • Creating alignment and clearing barriers across development teams to enable them to build scalable analytics solutions via an agile development process that could be adjusted quickly based on emerging opportunities and business needs.
  • Ensuring quality of analytics solutions including sound analytical methodology, scalability, usability, and ethical use.
  • Supporting initiatives that will bring analytics awareness to the company culture and champion democratizing data science within the entire SBD.
  • Owning the change management on the business side is required to ensure value realization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data or Business Analytics related field, Business Management or similar field
  • 12+ years of experience in data, analytics, engineering, machine learning, or related field; including at least 6 years of people management; Ability to influence and persuade and build consensus among senior leaders
  • You love data and have experience in enterprise Business Intelligence (BI), advanced analytics/data science, machine learning / AI/statistics.
  • 5-6 years of experience developing analytics solutions with a proven track record of delivering meaningful business value
  • 2+ years in an Agile development environment
  • Solid technical understanding/knowledge (beyond buzzwords) of data science/analytics concepts and trends in big data industry with data-driven product design and decision-making processes in mind
  • Solid understanding of business domains across SBD (e.g., sales, marketing, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain management, logistics, demand forecasting, inventory management, customer acquisition/retention)
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences and adapt to your audience
  • Ability to influence and persuade, drive and motivate
  • Excellent critical thinking, strategic and analytical skills for future planning
  • Strong relationship building, teamwork, collaborative style and commitment to continuous professional growth
  • Quick learner with strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, logical analysis and problem-solving skills
