CN Wood is looking for a Service Managers for their location in New Haven CT. This position is responsible for overseeing all service-related functions and employees for their assigned areas. In addition, Service Managers supervise all Service Technicians on a day to day basis and train all new staff on how to company policy and procedures related to serving equipment. Employee training and coaching on diagnostic, safety, and repair standards are the responsibility of this position.
Responsibilities:
Management and supervision of all service department functions including:
In-shop service and repair of machines and equipment and reconditioning and remanufacturing of components
Field service and repair of equipment
Telephone sales and support
Warranty repairs
Rental equipment maintenance and repairs
Mechanical training programs
Responsible for determining repair methodologies and job flows to maximize the effectiveness, the efficiency and the customer satisfaction of the service functions
Determine and monitor performance standards and measures
Create reports and make recommendations based on service data analyzed
Manage warehouse staff and conduct service team meetings and trainings
Observe service personnel in repair circumstances and provide coaching as necessary
Attains short and long term company objectives for the department
Follows and sets up department processes in coordination with management
Assist management with budget preparation and management
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES
Undergraduate degree in engineering or business or 5-7 years of experience in a similar environment with at least two years of management experience
Experience working with the public, preferably in a customer service role
Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with vendors
Interest and skill in company computer systems used for processing orders and the willingness to continue to learn and follow and manage company computer policies
Leadership skills in a specialized repair environment
Demonstrated self-motivation
Cost conscious and responsible decision-making skills
