JOB DESCRIPTION:
$20.00/Hour (Additional $20.00/Hour if over 5 hours of work).
Part Time Hours: 7 am-Noon!
6 Days a week.
You will be responsible for handing out pick up listings.
Move vans into correct work areas for the day.
Make sure every driver has a scanner, charger and iPad.
Help load heavy or over-sized packages into vans if needed.
Hand out paper manifest if driver requests it.
Assist in picking up and dropping off trucks to and from enterprise rental and/or mechanic shop.
Bring driver concerns to Contractors attention. Our Drivers safety is our #1 Priority.
Prior to dispatch time, you will ask drivers how they will be doing their routes (either 1-8 or 8-1). You will then upload manifests on your iPad as instructed. If you are needed after dispatch to deliver IC's (over-sized packages) or bulk deliveries along with pick ups at times, you will be expected to gather up all IC's, load them into van and deliver them in any of the towns that we cover: Monroe, Shelton, or Southbury.
REQUIREMENTS:
We treat everyone with dignity and respect. Drivers must be at least 21 years old and must have 1 year of verifiable driving experience in past 3 years or 5 within the last 10 years. NO reckless or aggressive driving (such as 15 MPH+ over speed limit, operating vehicle at 80MPH+) Other requirements include:
Must be 100% reliable (will not tolerate call-outs).
Must be able to pass DOT Physical, Drug Screen, and Background Check.
Must have a valid drivers license for 2 two years.
No more than 1 moving violation in the last 3 years.
Must be able to lift 70 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. using a hand truck.
