Recycling company has a full time position to handle inbound full truckloads as well as outbound sea containers. The duties include:
Scheduling domestic full truckload shipments in and outbound from and to our Connecticut facility
Negotiating freight rates with common carriers
Scheduling outbound full 40 foot container loads from Connecticut to the Middle East and Asia This includes booking ocean freight, arranging drayage from and back to the port and handling the documentation.
Working with domestic and foreign customers to ensure timely pick up and shipment of materials.
Tracking freight billing for accuracy.
Requirements for this position are:
Good negotiating skills
Accuracy and timely handling of details and scheduling.
Familiarity with freight movement and documentation
Excellent organizational skills
Knowledge of Excel and a familiarity with MS Office
High School diploma and good math and computer skills.
Common sense
This is a full time 40 hour, 9 to 5, in office position located in Ansonia, CT.
It is an immediate opening starting in mid-March.
