Make Quick Money Political Canvassing
We are hiring short-term canvassers to go door-to-door to support Governor Ned Lamont from November 5-8 for Get Out the Vote.
No prior canvass experience is required. The pay is $23 an hour. Canvassers must work on Election Day, November 8, and have their choice of up to 4 other shifts on November 5, 6, and 7. Canvassers must have a smartphone and the ability to download a required app. We are hiring canvassers in Fairfield, New Haven and Hartford counties.
This job is a great chance to have fun and make a difference. Governor Lamont has increased the minimum wage, expanded access to healthcare, cut our taxes and got people vaccinated so we could reopen our businesses and schools safely.
The ideal person for this job is positive and friendly, likes meeting new people, and wants to make a difference in their community.
Job Responsibilities
Talk to voters through door-to-door canvassing to persuade people to vote for Governor Ned Lamont
Enter data collected from voters into a smartphone app
Qualifications and Conditions
Successful completion of a short, required training program
Previous canvass experience is helpful but not required
Ability to connect with people of all backgrounds and move them to act
Ability to work between 10 AM – 8 PM on Election Day, November 8. This is required
Ability to work additional 4-hour shifts on November 5, 6, or 7
Ability to work outdoors and walk and stand for long periods
Must possess an active smartphone, either Android or iPhone, and be able to download a required application
Canvassers must pass a background check
Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
Proof of vaccination and booster is required
Locations
Canvassers will work in the field and be based out of our field offices in Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven, Stamford, and several others. Canvassers will be required to travel in their assigned region.
