We are seeking a Full Time, Permanent, Shift Supervisor in our Waterford, CT store.
The Shift Supervisor supports sales, operational and merchandising activities in the store in addition to keyholder duties such as opening/closing, interviewing, and coaching. The Shift Supervisor works in conjunction with the store management team to ensure proper product presentation while driving sales results by ensuring a high level of customer service in a safe and productive work environment. This position requires a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Upholds Company policies and procedures, including safety and operating standards.
Trains and developing associates to effectively perform their job responsibilities.
Interviews prospective candidates and participates in the selection/hiring process.
Manages associates performance including performance reviews, corrective action and succession planning.
Plans space for truck deliveries, unloading and storing merchandise; receiving, and verifying inventory from third party vendors.
Directs and performs merchandise pre-processing activities to prepare product for stocking.
Assigns and performs stocking activities following established stocking priorities, stocking standards and stocking plans.
Guides and participates in the organization of merchandise areas on the sales floor; ensuring replenishment standards are met.
Coordinates efficient front end operations.
Monitors customer transactions and front end activities, ensuring efficient processing time for checkout, and responding to cashier requests.
Monitors building security, promotes and upholds associate safety, and provides emergency response as needed.
Performs Leader On Duty responsibilities as needed

Upholds housekeeping standards throughout facility; personally performs any housekeeping duties as needed.
Supports and facilitates training, coaching and development of associates.
Performs additional, sometimes specialized duties as required by business needs including, but not limited to, stocking, freight processing, fulfillment, receiving, resolution of damaged merchandise
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of retail supervisory experience desired
Effective communication and customer service skills
Readily adjusts schedule, tasks, and priorities when necessary to meet business needs
