Job Description Senior Business Analyst Location : Connecticut Get To Know The Team: SS&C has recently released a new product, Singularity, that provides accounting and financial to the insurance industry. It has been well received by the industry and we have sold Singularity to some of the country's largest insurance providers. We are seeking to add to our team of business analysts who have a broad and deep knowledge of the financial products that insurance companies hold in their portfolios. This will include accounting, operations, reconciliations, and the product areas listed below under Qualifications. - Act as the liaison between external and internal business users and the development
- Ability to present internally and to external customers product demonstrations
- Ability to absorb complex problems and simplify into specifications or presentation
- A business related degree and or certification such as CPA, CFA
- 5 or more years experience in or providing insurance portfolio accounting
- Subject Matter Expertise in one or more the following functional domains: Securities, Derivatives, Mortgage investments, Bank Loans, Limited Partnerships, Investment Accounting & Reporting, Post-trade Compliance, Performance Measurement & Attribution, and General Ledger.
- Written and verbal skill in communication of complex problems into technical specifications for development
- Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative fashion
- Microsoft office, SQL ADO or another project management tool
