Job Details Title: Software Test Manager

Job Location: Norwalk, CT OR Full Remote

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to join the Global Services Organisation within Kantar Consulting Trade Optimisation. The Test Manager will suit a highly motivated individual that has proven and demonstrable quality assurance experience. Key aspects of the role will entail leading project QA teams and interfacing with customers to help ensure we deliver projects on time, on budget and at the highest quality.
  • Lead Kantar QA activities across multiple projects through all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Engage with customer stakeholders and project teams to develop an overall testing approach for assigned projects, coordinating testing activities/deliverables, and communicating test results
  • Analyse and understand customer requirements (functional/non-functional), architecture, technical designs and processes to define necessary scope of testing
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans (functional/non-functional), requirements traceability matrices, test cases and acceptance criteria that supports both manual and automated testing
  • Capture project quality KPIs and metrics and provide regular summary reporting to the customer and PM
  • Allocate and co-ordinate test schedules, tasks, test execution activities and resource plans within the assigned projects; managing progress of all activities against the plan, managing own deliverables and that of others to meet delivery deadlines
  • Build trusted and collaborative relationships with customers and partners
  • Provide QA estimates for project deliverables
  • Collaborate with the project team, to understand, mitigate and resolve software issues, and ensuring these lessons are incorporated in the test approach, both manual and automated
  • Assist customers with UAT planning and lead defect triage meetings. Manage UAT feedback, acting as an interface between the customer and development teams
  • Document and communicate QA-related/Release risks to the Project Manager
  • Execute end-to-end functional and non-functional automated/manual tests cases and create clearly documented defects that enables a developer to recreate the issue
  • Responsible for conducting analysis of defects with development team, BAs and other stakeholders, replicating issues for analysis and resolution.

EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years' QA experience in customer facing, large and complex enterprise software projects
  • Experienced in manual, automation, and volume & performance testing
  • ISEB/ISTQB Certification in Software Testing with Intermediate Level at minimum
  • Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycles, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Great attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects
  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Experience of working with geographically distributed teams
  • CPG experience is highly desirable
  • Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills
