We are searching for an experienced positive Medical Receptionist who can coordinate patient and physician schedules. We are looking for a professionals who understand the value of compassionate service.
Responsibilities include:
- Answer phones and schedule appointments.
- Greet patients upon arrival, check them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
- Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
- Process payments from patients for co-pays, outstanding balances and uninsured visits.
- Provide quality Customer Service to the patients courteously and promptly.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with co-workers.
Ideally, candidates for this position should have a working knowledge of electronic medical records and the ability to provide excellent patient customer service, as well as the ability to assist with a broad spectrum of patients.
Experience:
- High school graduate or GED.
- Some experience working for a healthcare practice.
- High level of professionalism.
- Excellent phone etiquette.
- Basic computer skills and experience with medical software.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong working knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
