Job Description
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibly diagnose BMW vehicles, when necessary or required, using network connected BMW diagnostic tools, equipment and resources.
Responsibly repair BMW vehicles, when required, in conjunction with BMW special and/or approved tools, equipment, lubricants, fluids and chemicals.
Document all labor time for repairs, diagnostic and work time being requested to be reimbursed.
Ensure customer satisfaction with repairs performed.
Maintain BMW vehicles as outlined in the BMW Maintenance Service requirements.
Follow BMW factory and BMW of Ridgefield’s standards. Expeditious, yet thorough approach to vehicle repair.
Liaison between Service Manager, Shop Foreman, Service Advisors, Parts personnel and Warranty Administration when necessary.
Attend and successfully complete BMW factory training as required by factory or BMW of Ridgefield. Keep abreast of BMW technical bulletins.
Qualifications
Job RequirementsAt least 2 years of professional automotive repair experience in a reputable dealership, Independent repair facility or franchise environment.
European brand or BMW experience preferred, Automotive Technical training preferred.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information, technically knowledgeable, experienced on BMW product line.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills. ASE Certificationsa plus.
Must work well with others, team oriented and comfortable working in a very busy service shop.
CDK (ADP) and Mpi experience helpful.
Abletopasspreemploymenttestingtoincludebackgroundcheck,MVRcheck,drugtest andmaintenanceofavalid driver'slicense.Additional Information
