Job Description

The Accounts PayableRepresentative I positionis responsible for invoice and payment process cycles,accounts payable policies and procedures, andtoprovideaccounts payableadministrative support to the BIC Community and its suppliers.

Main Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Review and verify invoices and payment requests

  • Enter and upload invoices into the Transform and JDE/Oracle Accounts Payable systems

  • Post transactions to general ledger

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions

  • Research and resolve invoice/purchase order/receipt discrepancies

  • Prepare month end closing processes including journal entries

  • Support team in the preparation and analysis ofaccounts payable workingcapitalmetrics

  • Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed

  • Spearheading efforts acrossall A/P functions and Procurement requierments

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Accounting is preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years of Accounts Payable experience is required

  • Experience working in the Consumer Goods industry is preferred

  • Proficiency working withJD Edwards system is strongly preferred

  • Experience working with Transform accounts payable system is a plus

  • Experience working with Concur (travel/expense tool) is a plus

  • In-depth knowledgein the fundamentalsofaccounts payableprocessing

  • Ability to make decisions independentlyand toidentify issues and orchestrate action.

  • Comprehensively solving problems and achieveobjectives

  • Ability to work well with all levels of the organization and within a multi-functionalteam environment

  • Strong organizational skills are essential to work in a fast paced environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 360

  • Willingness to adapt to changing business requirements and learn new systems/ methods as required

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
