Job Description

The Deployment Supervisor is responsible for overall deployment of finished goods from plant production locations to distribution centers plus inbound warehouse scheduling and reconciliation of shipment discrepancies. The supervisor is responsible for ongoing process definition and continuous improvement, IT enablement of process, executing daily deployment of products, training and managing Deployment Planners, and delivering on On Time/In Full, Inventory targets and costs.

  • Train and manage deployment planners
  • Oversees the weekly and daily product moves to support stock replenishment and backorders from all DC to DC, Manufacturing to DC and External storage to DC locations
  • Oversees the weekly material movements from DC to Manufacturing or External storage to Manufacturing for production orders
  • Oversees issues and communicates with plants, DCs, Customer Service, Supply Planners and co-packers
  • Oversees the inbound delivery appointments process with carriers and freight forwarder for overseas containers
  • Oversees the co-packer production posting and shipment processing
  • Responsible for co-packers inventory reconciliation
  • Review and analyze all EDI error processing and inbound inventory discrepancies
  • Management of Product Allocation file for Sales, Supply and Customer Service
  • Manage Forecast Splits in JDA to determine forecast distribution among BIC DCs
  • Manage JDA templates, maxtrix, and JDA/JDE mapping for Planning
  • Creates adhoc reports as needed pertaining to deployment performance or daily work

Qualifications

  • 5+ years Supply Chain experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is required
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required; a degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or related degree is preferred
  • JD Edwards, JDA knowledge is a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding of deployment practices is required
  • Good communication skills and able to root cause / problem solve
  • Self-starter, able to set deadlines and meet timelines
