Job Description

  • The purpose of the role is to lead the development and delivery of an integrated Information Technology strategy in support of the Global Commercial Operations (GCO) of BIC Corporation. This encompasses direct oversight for Commercial Operations: Sales Force Automation & Customer Relationship Management; Pricing Model Support; Customer Offers & Tracking & Revenue Growth Model Support; and for Digital Commercial Operations oversee ‘Go To Market’ Omnichannel approach (incl enabling B2B, B2C, DTC etc); Consumer Data Acquisition & Offer Management; PIM / DAM & Brand; Website Consolidation & Management.
  • The role proactively supports the Data Strategy required to transparently set and track the revenue goals and profitability targets for BIC’s Commercial Operations
  • This role oversees the Liaison between NAM & LAM Business leaders and Group IT, staying abreast in particular of business initiated system configuration changes required and tracking these through to implementation; remaining aware of Infrastructure & Tool needs for the NAM / LAM groups - coordinating their implementation; and proactively reporting out and seeking input on Group IT opportunities
  • The role sits on the leadership team for the Group Commercial Operations advising on cost efficient / effective solutions for emerging business needs, while setting and delivering the consolidated roadmap and IT portfolio needs for deployed solutions.
  • This job takes full responsibility on behalf of the IT organization for Commercial Operations Technology Governance, Management and Security. It is accountable for Strategic Roadmap Development, Functionality Management, Program Delivery, People Management, Project Management, Communications & Change Management and Reporting.
  • In support of the annual IT Planning Cycle the role coordinates and is responsible for: Portfolio Delivery items & ranking, Infrastructure refresh needs (NAM/LAM), NAM/LAM IT Financial Tracking & Allocations, GCO IT Vendor Partnership leads. Along with professional leadership of the GCO IT Team and matrixed information and support of service delivery for Infrastructure, End User Tools, Data & Other platforms that enable Global Commercial & NAM /LAM Business Operations.

What You’ll Do:

Global Commercial Operations Delivery (Application Solutions, Demand Management and Portfolio Management)

  • Acts as a single point of contact for Group Commercial Operations Leaders & Stakeholders to the Group IT Organization
  • Coordinates the development of strategic approaches & functional design of IT solutions for GCO
  • Manages business requirements and helps prioritizing investments based on business benefits, IT and business constraints as well as Group IT Strategy and its imperatives
  • Oversees all IT Delivery activities for Group Commercial Operations globally – from idea through to successful deployment - including approval steps and progress reporting for delivery projects and other functional, technical and governance topics
  • Ensures Global and Local GCO application roll outs, while keeping delivery & maintenance in alignment with global roadmaps, business requirements and expectations
  • Contributes to the management and optimization of Group Commercial Operations application portfolio running and maintenance costs
  • Foresees new business functionality based on business strategy and on opportunities from market trends and emerging technologies

NAM/LAM IT Governance (Operational Effectiveness, Service Level Management, Sourcing, Business Continuity, IT Budget)

  • Takes responsibility in front of the Business stakeholders for level of service delivered by Group IT within the Americas
  • Provides regular and effective communication to Americas' Business Stakeholders on Group IT services
  • Ensures agreement of business on service level reporting and related budget topics
  • Coordinates and optimizes IT sourcing & service models within Americas according to Group IT sourcing strategy
  • Supports Americas IT service recovery plan
  • Leads IT requirements related to crisis while ensuring support to the business
  • Ensures and monitors compliance with Group Governance, Risk and Compliance guidelines, audit requirements and IT functional control standards
  • Responsibility to oversee Americas total IT budget and to manage trade-offs by engaging Group IT Business Partners, Group IT Service Providers and Group IT Functions

IT Strategy & Operations

  • Represents IT at Group Commercial Operations Leadership Team and appropriate Americas (NAM and LAM) Governance Boards
  • Represents & Champions Group Commercial Operations and Americas needs in IT Governance & Leader meetings
  • Communicates and implements the long-term IT vision, strategy and plans to Group Commercial Operations and Americas stakeholders according to Group IT imperatives
  • Champions strategic approaches to the digitization of activities for Commercial and NAM / LAM Operations
  • Understands and collects business needs in terms of Group IT services for setting and improving service levels, based on feedback received in monitoring business satisfaction for Group Commercial Operations and within Americas
  • Implements, animates and pro-actively adopts the IT governance processes and operating model

People Management

  • Assess staffing needs and determine how many employees (internal or external) are needed to meet delivery & support commitments in conjunction with direct employee work or people managers
  • Supervise & develop staff via regular interaction and formal written evaluations to determine how well they’re fulfilling their job and whether they’re meeting company standards for professionalism, attendance, work performance and personal / professional development
  • Manage employee relations listening to problems employees have with coworkers and managers, and file complaints as needed with upper-level management
  • Manage Performance Improvement process

IT Innovation

  • Be the reference point for IT Innovation for Group Commercial Operations and within Americas
  • Through market exploration promotes relevant innovation to business in alignment with GCO or Americas needs collected / foreseen by the business
  • Supports team knowledge acquisition via conferences or training to enable BIC to leverage new digital technologies or to propose innovative solutions enabling business objectives
  • Liaises with Group IT Delivery BRM’s to discoverer share details of new solutions and processes

Qualifications

What We're Looking For In You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Economics or other related fields
  • Master’s in business administration preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Managerial IT roles within Multinational, ideally FMCG companies
  • Previous experience in the Geographical Area of reference: North America, Central America, South America
  • Experience in managing people
  • Availability to business trips 30-40% of the time
