Job Description

As a part of our North America Commercial team you will develop the 5 RGM pillars (portfolio strategy, product assortment and mix, pricing strategy, promotional effectiveness and trade terms/partnering with customers) strategies and tactics for one of BIC’s categories (Shaver, Lighter, Stationery). You will partner with the Marketing & Customer Marketing teams to develop overarching strategic and tactical activation plans, as well as, collaborate directly with Sales to jointly develop plans from an omni-channel perspective and support developing category growth platforms by channel. Part of the responsibilities will also include tracking RGM program execution and performance, develop and deploy RGM tools and capabilities, and improve processes for cross functional planning and execution.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Brand Teams and Customer Marketing to understand RGM needs and challenges across markets and builds use case approach to answer challenges with fact-based insights
  • Develops ad hoc analyses when needed to investigate RGM opportunities for the field
  • Responsible for leveraging data models and tools to deliver fact-based insights to markets and provides analytical inputs on category
  • Work with sales teams to identify white space opportunities and action plans to address them
  • Responsible for measuring adoption of recommendations and building relevant use cases based on historical trends and market experience
  • Responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of the portfolio and pricing strategy pillars within the RGM function to deliver profitable growth for BIC and our customers
  • Responsible for the development of pricing guidelines by category and channel to be implemented at the market level that deliver margin through a differentiated price-pack architecture by category and channel
  • Run pricing/assortment analytics (e.g., pricing potential by pack, price pack curve, brand ladder vs. competition) and simulations
  • Develop promotion lift and ROI analytics and share guidelines on improvement of promo calendar (optimal discount depth / lift by pack)
  • Create trade transparency and drive trade terms optimization via establishing best-practice trade architecture and customer segmentation
  • Prepare the implementation (e.g., sell-in stories) of all RGM initiatives and align between functions involved in RGM (especially Marketing, Sales, Advanced Analytics, Finance) to implement recommendations
  • Provide tracking of the RGM initiatives, incl. key RGM KPsI to be tracked, and reports progress to leadership and offer coaching to respective people within the organization in charge of implementing the RGM initiatives
  • Provides training/coaching on relevant processes, tools & methodology to respective stakeholders within the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or a related analytical field, graduate degree preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of business experience in analytical and/or commercial finance role within CPG/FMCG environment, NRM/RGM experience a plus
  • Ability to effectively organize, analyze, and present data with solutions
  • Strong change management capabilities and experience
  • Proven success developing Pricing, Promotion, Assortment and Trade optimization within a FMCG environment
  • JD Edwards, Cognos, Power BI, IRI, Nielsen system experience a plus
  • Proven success developing Pricing & Promotion structures
  • Strong financial analysis skills a must
  • Proven track record for delivering documented, sustainable results
