Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Supports patient during admission processes. This may include checking in patient belongings, acclimating patient to the program and milieu, admission paperwork.

  • Effectively and professional communicates with families/loved ones, as appropriate.

  • Completesassigned assessments within 24 hours of admission and accompanying notes in medical record.

  • Able to effectively and professionally establish rapport with patients.

  • Provides milieumanagementthrough the treatment experience and communicates with all team members.

  • Assists in the implementation of the comprehensive treatment plan in the milieu.

  • Assists and supports patients inday-to-dayactivities including, but not limited to: walking routines, morning hygiene, meals, nighttime routine, evening hygiene, bathroom observations, and free time.

  • May attend treatment team meeting or provide verbal report to therapist before meeting to contribute insight on patients’ progress as experienced in the milieu environment.

  • Contributes to the well-being of all patients by serving as a positive role model.

  • Engages in brief “check ins” whereinpatientsare provided with support and guidance in using coping skills.

  • Responsible for facilitating psychoeducational and therapy groups for the expected length of time identified in the program schedule.

  • Supervises and supports patients on community outings.

  • Objectively andaccuratelydocuments patient progress on a daily basis.

  • Assists with discharge process.

  • Works during meal periods to therapeutic support and coping skills to patients.

  • Maintains an organized and safe environment.

  • Makes timely requests for anabsenceand ensures coverage for any schedule shift.

  • Requiredtocheck company provided email on every shift.

  • Required tosupport with trainings of new employees, as assigned.

  • Collaborates with Executive Director to complete milieu interventions with patients throughout their treatment stay.

  • Facilitate therapysessionsand clinical assessments, as assigned.

  • Conductsutilizationreviews and other case management activities required for patient success.

  • Assists with discharge and aftercare planning for patients.

  • Completes alldocumentationtimelyandeffectively in the patient's medical record.

  • Performs any other assigned and/or requested duties.

  • Assure that the facility is fully stocked, that needed supplies—including groceries—are ordered in advance; manage related expenses to assure that unnecessary spending is not occurring.

  • Provide feedback to the corporate office regarding any facility issues on a weekly basis by completing the Weekly Walkthrough. Schedule facility maintenance upon obtaining approval from the Executive Director and/or corporate office.

  • Perform/assign safety drills monthly, completing weekly checklists to assure guidelines are met, assure facility is in compliance with licensing standards.

  • Complete temperature logs, safety logs, scale calibration logs, and dishwasher temperature logs regularly.

  • Sanitize the kitchen daily and ensure that kitchen is stocked and cleaned daily. Collaborate with Dietitian on kitchen-related duties.

  • Oversee thepatientintake process, complete related paperwork, review and obtain signatures on all consents at the time of admission, send all necessary information to the corporate office, assign additional duties to staff as necessary.

  • Oversee the client discharge process and assign duties to the counseling staff as necessary.

  • Make sure admit and discharge measures are completed at the start and end of treatment.

  • Ensures staff adherence to Infection Control Protocols.

  • Managepatient charts, ensuring new charts areopenedwhen necessary, charts are audited and closed in a timely manner.

  • Complete projects as directed byExecutiveDirector

  • Trains and supports all new tech hires

  • Supports Staff Meeting training agendas and education

  • Leading shift tasks anddelegating,tasks as needed

  • Serve as a positive role model to staff,patients, employees, and guests through a positive, caring and professional attitude.

  • Comply with the dress code.

  • Complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Establish and achieves realistic goals within the position

  • Maintain the confidential nature of Residential Programming and related activities.

  • Demonstrate tact, initiative, resourcefulness, professional manner, enthusiasm, and non-judgmental attitude.

  • Perform any requested task and accept responsibilities as requested by the treatment team.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Education, and Experience

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in relevant field,preferred

  • Completion of state requirements to conduct therapeutic interventions, required

  • Obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire

  • Obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire

  • ObtainServSafecertification within 90dayof hire

  • Must possess a current driver’s license and be in good standing
