100% REMOTE (EST hours - Stamford, CT area preferred) We are seeking a Windows Server Engineer who is: self-motivated, innovative, works well under pressure, and collaborates well with others. As the Windows Server Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the cloud and on-premise Infrastructure as well as working on high level projects.

Responsibilities of the Windows Server Engineer:

Configure, monitor and support existing cloud and on-premise infrastructure
Build and install new server infrastructure as needed
Build and Deploy VMWare clusters
Maintain production-level uptime for physical and virtual infrastructure
Investigate production outages, and help determine root causes / implement fixes
Make recommendations and implement changes to improve system performance
Develop and maintain documentation for system and platform architecture
Maintain a customer-focused service attitude and work ethic
Coordination with the rest of the IT department on projects

Requirements of the Windows Server Engineer:

5+ years Microsoft Windows Server Engineering experience (2000 - 2019)
Extensive experience with Virtualization technologies (VMWare ESXi and vCenter)
Extensive experience with Backup & Replication using Veeam
3+ years of experience working with MS Azure and Azure Automation and Scripting
Strong Scripting experience (PowerShell)
Experience working with HP servers
Understanding of Linux
Understanding of Active Directory
Understanding of SAN
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
