Silgan Dispensing Systems Thomaston Corp, is looking for a Program Manager, NPD (New Product Development) in Thomaston, CT to provide technical support and subject matter knowledge of cosmetics plastics packaging development. Collaborate with Marketing and Sales for the promotion and sale of new cosmetics packaging products. Coordinate multi-site cosmetics packaging New Product Development (NPD) projects assigned within cost, time to market, quality and quantity objectives defined in the project brief. Act as key point of contact and support sales from RFQ to commercialization on Global Customer account projects for multi-sites and strategic projects. Ensure global coordination and manage assigned multi-sites projects for global customer accounts. Lead directly strategic and critical NPD projects above a threshold of 1.5 M USD. Manage directly assigned New Product Innovation Projects (P2 Projects). Secure task planning, coordinate day-to-day activities, guide the project team members, get their commitment and monitor progress against deadlines. Control the project both from a timing, financial and quality perspective; managing the resources provided to meet project objectives and targets in order to deliver sustainability in the choice for product, process and supplies. Report monthly and during the project steering committees the status of the projects. Define actions with the appropriate Department Manager to ensure NPD project timely completion. Ensure timely and documented NPD reviews and act as guarantor of the NPD Process application. Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Plastics Engineering or foreign equivalent and 3 years of Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or NDP Engineer work experience. Knowledge of SAP, MS Office, MS Project, Minitab, FMEA, risk analysis, change management, FMCG products development experience. Knowledge of plastic injection technology for Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Electronics, Plastic injection suppliers & industries. Exposure to multi-national, multi-site manufacturing organization. Patent analysis exposure or experience. Travel about 20% of the time internationally for product manufacturing and mold validation (China, France, Brazil). Requisition ID: 11115
