We're looking for a Data Protection Engineer with excellent knowledge of and experience with DLP/Scanning policy and analysis. You will partner across teams and areas of focus to implement and improve our client's DLP program. We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. Rate: $65 - $75 / hr.Responsibilities of the Data Protection Engineer:- Define new and enhance existing DLP policies/rules to continuously increase DLP Program
- Develop a scanning program across multiple technologies to identify sensitive data at rest across our environment and determine the protections in place or missing
- Define additional processes / controls for continuous risk reduction purposes and to meet the objectives detailed in the DLP Program Charter
- Partner with required stakeholders to remediate DLP design, process, and technology gaps
- Partner with Cyber Security Operations teams as needed to enhance DLP monitoring/response on an ongoing basis
- Address risks and open issues that apply to process as well as audit activities
- Stay current on technology that impacts the industry
- 5+ years of DLP policy definition and analysis experience and/or Scanning policy definition and analysis in on prem and cloud technologies
- 3+ years of experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks (e.g., IS027000, COBIT, NIST 800, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience in the Cybersecurity/Information Technology industry
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications
- Expertise in Symantec DLP
- Deep knowledge of regex
- Effective communication skills
- Experience working with Splunk
