Lunch Karma is the next generation lunch delivery service. At Lunch Karma we use proprietary data, AI/ML, algorithms and technology to deliver restaurant-made lunches to customers workplaces using a monthly subscription model.
We are looking for individuals with a passion for customer service to join our growing team as Delivery Driver in Newark, DE. Lunch Karma currently operates in Newark DE and Wilmington, DE will be soon expanding to Philadelphia, Baltimore, DC and other cities. JOB SUMMARY
As an independently contracted delivery driver you will pick up lunch boxes from our partner Restaurants and deliver fresh, hot and ready-to eat boxed lunches to offices located in Newark and Wilmington, Delaware.
You will also help out with other activities, such as, organizing, delivering and monitoring packing supplies for restaurants.
You will also act a brand ambassador for the company and provide the best possible customer service to consumers.
Driver shifts are 2-4 hours daily between 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and you will be able to choose days and shifts as per your convenience. You will be paid a guaranteed rate of $16.00 an hour irrespective of orders received and deliveries made. Additionally, you will be eligible for monthly bonus based on your performance.
These are PT contract positions with potential for future W2 employment, including advancement to management positions.
This will be ideal for drivers who currently work for on-demand delivery companies but want a guaranteed hourly pay for hours worked instead of relying on tips and commissions per delivery. All drivers are required to provide their own car for deliveries.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Pick up lunch boxes from partner restaurants
Help in organizing, packaging and labelling boxes and bags
Deliver hot, fresh and ready-to-eat lunches to customers
Interact with customers and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Age 21+ years old with a valid drivers license
Have up to date liability and bodily injury insurance
Clean driving record (no more than two points off)
No more than 1 at fault accident or more than 2 moving violations in 24 months, such as, driving under influence, driving while impaired, driving in possession of alcohol or drugs, driving with a suspended license, committing a felony, reckless driving, speeding at more than 20 MPH above the speed limit, and any unsafe driving activity.
Pass Background and Drug Screening check
Able to work in all weather conditions and lift 40 pounds
A Great Attitude when dealing with Coworkers
A personable attitude and a desire to please customers
Fluent in English
High school graduate or equivalent
