Sous chef / Line Cook

Join our award winning team creating amazing food for our customers.

- Looking for someone that is willing to be coachable.

- Creating an amazing food experience when off site at events or customers facility.

- Shared responsibilities in Inventory responsibility.

- Responsibility for quantity & quality control.

- Help create new menu items.

Shared responsibility on kitchen systems (accountability of creating the best systems for maximum efficiency for our staff as well as client experience).

- You will report directly to the Kitchen manager.

Salary Range $31.5k to $33.5k depending experience with a benefits package

Be a positive, hard working, team player.

- Have good problem solving skills; able to assist in problem solving at events, with customers and with re-directing focus as needed.

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and have no mobility issues.

- This job will be both physical and creative.

- No major driving infractions in the past year and must be at least 21 years of age (due to commercial insurance driving standards).

- Your primary location will be Sherm's Catering; but sometimes you may have to go off site to venue locations within 50 miles. (use of company vehicle while attending events, and gas card usage if driving personal vehicle.)

We are open 7 days a week

Job Type: Part time & Full-time position available

Compensation & Benefits.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Aetna medical benefits for staff that works an average of 30+ hours per week after 45 days (coverage begins on day 60), company contributes 50%.

All State supplemental insurance benefits available at employee expense.

- Vacation for Full time staff is earned. 1 week after 1 year of service, 2 weeks after 2 years of service.

- Paid Holidays observed by company:

Christmas, New Years Day, Thanksgiving, Easter Sunday
