The Delaware Center for Justice (DCJ) seeks a part-time Group Therapist to provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy sessions to individuals on Probation or Parole. The Therapist will work alongside a Program Coordinator who will assist with participant recruitment and program reporting requirements.

About DCJs CBT Group
The Delaware Center for Justice, Inc. is implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy groups at Probation & Parole statewide. The program uses the Decisions for Change curriculum, a 6-week intervention designed for use with individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
The group will be offered as an alternative to incarceration and targets criminogenic factors in order to reduce recidivism and improve decision-making skills. Group participants will build skills to manage daily stressors, improve impulse control, and reduce negative behaviors.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Masters degree in human services/social work; those licensed with counseling experience preferred
Must have strong worth ethic, a positive attitude, and a good sense of humor
Demonstrated ability and desire to offer marginalized individuals a high quality of service
Ability to motivate and establish therapeutic alliance with clients
Knowledge of, and demonstrated skills in, clinical counseling such as motivational interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Implement the Decisions for Change Curriculum at all Probation & Parole locations statewide.
Available to teach multiple courses per week in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex counties.
Facilitate transition to Case Management services when needed.
Work with staff at the institution to coordinate care
Devise weekly lesson plans for group using the facilitators guide of curriculum
Assess and report on progress of program participants throughout session
Attend DCJ staff meetings once per month (encouraged) and monthly supervision sessions
