St. John's Community Services-DE has an opening for a Part Time Community Inclusion Specialist/Direct Support Professional/2nd Shift, every other Saturday and Sunday.
We are seeking responsible, compassionate, and nurturing candidates interested in providing quality care in the home of adults with intellectual disabilities. The position requires direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a group home and supported living setting; providing supervision, training, and guidance with daily activities. DSP's will assist with the development and maintenance of social skills, promoting community inclusion, and be responsive to their personal, physical and behavioral needs.
Community Inclusion Specialist position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and one year experience working with individuals with disabilities; experience in community based settings is a plus. Good communication and writing skills are necessary. Applicants must have driver's license and driving record in good standing, state fingerprinting for criminal background check, and be able to pass a drug test in order to be considered for this position.
DE Medication Administration Training Certificate (LLAM - Limited Lay Administration of Medication) and Crisis Intervention Training Certificate preferred (MANDT or equivalent); current CPR training a plus.
