Deafinitions & Interpreting, LLC. has been offering equal communication access for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing individuals by providing services such as sign language and spoken language interpreting, sign language classes, educational workshops, and advocacy since 2003. We have a full-time or part time position for a highly organized, enthusiastic team player to join our busy Interpreter Referral Department in Newark, Delaware. Position available for highly energetic and ambitious individual who wants to be a major part of the success of the company and possesses strong office organizational and time management skills. Candidate should have exemplary phone etiquette and organizational skills, proficient in Apple Computer products, as well as Google mail, calendar and web navigation. Position involves scheduling and coordinating appointments for up to 40+ subcontractors, marketing of company to promote growth, extreme attention to detail along with the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision. Personal assistant duties may be required on occasion. Sign language skills as well as knowledge of Deaf culture a plus but not required. Quick advancement for the right individual.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Handles high volume of incoming requests for interpreting services via phone and email.

Use computer database to search for customer and consumer information, communicate with customers, consumers and subcontractors and maintain/update company database.

Communicates information about D & I rates, policies and procedures to customers.

Ensures that proper guarantee of payment is received prior to accepting requests

for interpreters.

Markets D & I services through quality customer relations and service and via social media.

Experience in government contracts a plus but not required.

Accuracy in communication with independent contractors to provide assignment details

Assist our Support Specialist with billing/invoicing of clients

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

Efficient with Apple products with high level of data entry accuracy.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including excellent telephone manners.

Proven office and customer service experience.

Ability to handle pressure in a fast paced environment while maintaining extreme attention to detail.

Ability to carry out duties and recall detailed information when needed by Director of Operations.

Experience with Deaf and hard of hearing and/or American Sign Language a plus. A base knowledge of American's With Disabilities Act (ADA).

Microsoft Word, Google Drive, Quickbooks knowledge a plus
