Apartment Maintenance Tech II
JOB DUTIES: Responsible for apartment turnover and renovations, service orders, preventative maintenance and inspection of apartments and systems, completing capital improvement projects as needed, and emergency calls as assigned. Keep grounds neat and free of litter and complete general landscaping work as needed. Maintain shop and storage areas in a clean, orderly, safe and secure fashion. Prepare purchase orders/requests as needed. Complete all work in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have at least 5 years well-rounded experience with apartment maintenance, construction or hotel management maintenance. Must have own tools , a valid driver's license and own car. Candidate must pass a drug and criminal background check. Must be available for on-call service, as assigned. Must be able to push, pull and lift 75 pounds. Must be able to navigate stairs and ladders.
GENERAL: Diagnoses and performs maintenance or repairs, as directed, including but not limited to:
Electric and plumbing, including soldering
Gas Boilers
Tile, carpet, flooring
Interior/exterior lights and fans
Drywall and painting
Carpentry
Appliances where applicable
Individual will be working on a team with one or more maintenance staff or on individual projects depending on need. We are looking for individuals who enjoy trouble-shooting and multitasking and have the interpersonal skills to interact and work effectively with staff and residents.
