Job Summary
Working for Pettinaro Residential means being part of a team of talented professionals striving to provide the best in apartment living. Our Apartment Maintenance Technicians play a key role in each communitys success. Qualified candidates will collaborate with team members to assess and respond to maintenance issues, develop a rapport with residents by being knowledgeable and friendly, and inspire trust by caring for the community.
Tour Your Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the Apartment Maintenance Tech include:
Prepares or assists in preparing all vacant apartments to a market ready condition.
Performs various community maintenance functions (i.e., plumbing, electrical, carpeting, painting, appliance repairs, etc.)
Responds to resident service requests and concerns in a timely manner.
Performs on-call emergency service as required.
Reports any maintenance concerns for repairs on vacant apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
May assist in monitoring and/or controlling maintenance inventory and/or supplies.
Ability to lift up-to 100 pounds.
Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager on special maintenance projects, (i.e., preventative maintenance of building components and/or mechanicals).
Assists in keeping the grounds and common areas free of trash, debris and snow removal.
Maintains open communication with property management.
Consistently maintains a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworkers and the public, at all times, on or off the property.
Attends and participates in training seminars as requested.
Assists other staff members as needed.
Attends and assists in setting up for resident functions and activities
Requires inside and outside work in all types of weather.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to Pettinaro:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Trade school and/or military training a plus.
One to three years of verifiable hands-on general maintenance experience (i.e., plumbing, electrical, carpeting, painting, etc.) is preferred with proficiency in at least one major area.
Ability to perform medium to heavy work requiring prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, crouching and lifting to a maximum of 100 lbs., with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
