Northeast Sales Executive (Colora, MD)

Delaware, Delaware 00000 Delaware USA

Vacancy expired!

North-East Sales Executive

Family-owned product manufacturing company is looking for a developer in business plans and sales strategies for the food ingredient market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. This person will be implementing action plans to penetrate new markets, responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective clients, and cost containment and savings in all areas. The sales manager will need to maintain accurate records of all pricing, products, etc. while creating and conducting proposal presentations and pricing responses.

50-60% of travel is expected to support and contribute to trade shows and maintaining/building customer relationships.

During your travels and communication with customers the manager will analyze customer activity to determine trends and opportunities. They will also be required to work with clients or potential clients on product development. Being able to coordinate all this information with a team is extremely vital (Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, etc.)

How the Commission works:

1. Monthly Margin - (Freight + Unpaid Invoices) = Adjusted Margin

2. Adjusted Margin x Commission Rate of 0.098 = Total

3. Total - Expenses = Payable Commission

Expenses: Company Credit Card Balance, Salary, Etc.

The first year will be challenging, but depending on how much of a "go getter" a sales manager is, they should expect to start hitting commission after 8-12 months. Now this could be a few hundred dollars/month or upwards of a thousand dollars/month. But it most likely would be sporadic starting out. They would also be gaining current accounts through the first year, which will go into their margin total.

After about 2 years the commission per month should be consistent and again depending on how much business is brought in the sales manager could consistently be pulling in about $500 to $2,500 per month. By now they would also control all current accounts in the territory which would help a lot to the margin total.

The sky is the limit after the first couple of years and this could easily turn into a six figure role.

The sales manager will continue to gain commission on all sales moving forward (month to month, year to year). There is no reset. The only thing that would change is if they were to get a raise, this would adjust the "expense" portion of the commission formula. The commission is based all on sales and sales alone and this is generated by how much a sales manager is willing to put in.
