Tidewater Direct is seeking a well-rounded commercial inkjet and digital prepress manager for an immediate opening at its Centreville plant. The primary role for this manager will be to oversee the operation of a Screen 520HD roll-fed inkjet press. Daily duties will include working with clients’ files and verifying accuracy, performing color correction, templating, uploading files to run, overseeing operation of the press and maintenance. A strong background in commercial print prepress, as well ask prepress for inkjet output is strongly desired. Experience with mail, sequence, and direct mail data is a major plus.
Tidewater uses Screen’s Equios front and also uses XMPie. Software specific training will be available to the right candidate with a strong direct mail data background or print prepress background.
The Screen 520HD is a sophisticated roll-fed press that delivers outstanding output. This press is capable of printing at speeds up to 500 feet per minute and quality levels of 1200x1200 dpi. It has a UV coater and dynamic perforation inline. This opportunity is ideal for an established prepress manager, lettershop data manager with some prepress experience, or very experienced direct mail programmer looking to work directly with production.
