Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Inspect and actuate fire dampers per NFPA code
Inspect and operate fire doors per NFPA code
Inspect and document deficiencies with fire barriers per NFPA code
Complete software-based 3rd party reporting to accurately document inspections for compliance
Ensure committed work dates and deadlines are achieved
Travel as needed to work on project sites and complete scheduled work
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Minimum 1 year experience in firestop, fire barrier, fire damper and/or fire door consulting, inspection or design operations preferred but not required
Certified Firestop Inspector, or ability and interest in training/testing to become a Certified Firestop Inspector
Experience with HVAC and/or previous Construction experience preferred
Must be safety conscious and follow safety standards
Ability to work in various environments including heights and areas with limited space
Ability to manage time and meet deadlines and budgets
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must have a valid drivers license
High School diploma or equivalent required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Required travel is 75% - 90%
