Leonard's Express in New Castle, DE is looking for a full time Facility Maintenance Technician under the direct supervision of the General Manager. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on our three New Castle facilities to include equipment and property structures plus limited grounds maintenance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Perform minor HVAC, plumbing & electrical repairs as necessary
-Miscellaneous carpentry work like drywall & painting
-Implement preventative maintenance measures
-Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
-Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
-Perform other maintenance duties as requested
-Yard jockey (will provide all required training)
QUALIFICATIONS:
-High school diploma/GED required
-Must be adept in carpentry, electrical, plumbing and have general HVAC knowledge
-Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
-Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers & small hand tools
-Effective written and oral communication skills
-Able to work well with minimal supervision
-Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
-Class A CDL is a bonus
