Is responsible for leading, conducting and documenting a variety of Human Resources (HR) investigations that may come through sources such as the Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) process, executive letters, ethics complaints, escalated Employee Relations hotline calls or exit interview triggers. Also responsible for identifying other internal partners to lead, conduct and document these investigations. Works in partnership with respective Employee Relations Directors, Human Resources Generalists (HRG), Employment lawyers and Internal Investigators throughout the investigation process as appropriate. This position may manage.Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

Leads the HR investigative function across the Enterprise; Responsible for the conducting, coordination, logistics, and tracking of all investigations.

Identifies and delegates responsible party for certain investigations. Is responsible for the oversight of all investigations; provides coaching and feedback throughout the process.

Provides consultation on and responds to or delegates employee complaints through the Internal Dispute Resolution process.

Investigates complaints or allegations of the highest complexity including, but not limited to, allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, ethics violations, hostile work environment, unfair treatment and violation of company policies (many investigations are conducted under privilege).

Ensures that all investigation reports are prepared in aclear, comprehensive, cohesive and timely manner.

Manages direct investigations conducted by HR partners; Develops training modules and materials specific to investigations; facilitates training to HR professionals on conducting HR investigations and drafting reports.

Develops relationships with, and coordinates relevant investigations with business partners and colleagues.

Ensures investigation methodology and process are consistent across the enterprise.

Continuously evaluates the HR investigation function; implements process improvements and changes for efficiency.

May participate or lead environmental scans or sensing sessions.

May conduct training on a variety of Employee Relations topics including sexual harassment, union awareness, FMLA, FLSA, etc.

Provides consultation on relevant state and federal employment legislation, complex employee relations issues, performance management, workplace investigations and critical incident management.

Supports and leads other Employee Relations initiatives/projects such as policy modification, workforce trends (internally and externally), best practices, etc. as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related course of study or equivalent experience required.

6+ years’ experience in a Human Resources capacity with strong knowledge of employee relations.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

8+ years of Employee Relations or Human Resources experience with an emphasis in conducting HR investigations preferred.

Law degree desired but not required.

Strong knowledge of HR trends and relevant employment laws.

Extensive travel may be required (approximately 30%), sometimes on very short notice.
