Job Details:

Title: Programmer (.Net and GIS)

Location: Dover, DE

Duration: 12 Months Contract (37.5 hours per week minus state holidays and 5 additional days required to take off per fiscal year.)

Description: The Client Department of Transportation is seeking a contractual .NET and GIS Developer. This position will be hybrid (onsite required 2-3 days per week). It is anticipated that this position would be a longer-term assignment expected to work a 37.5 hour work week. The position would be for an experienced .NET and GIS developer. The contractor will be focused mostly on .NET framework (C# or VB programming). spring boot, hibernate, GIS, ArcGIS. The Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing and support of all application code owned by the DelDOT Application Team. Programmers typically are involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. Programmers have a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team. The Programmer works with the Business areas, Managers, Functional Architect and Technical Architecture Specialist on an as needed basis to ensure that design and code meets customer requirements and IT standards and policy Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the Application Team. Develop contingency plans as necessary. Engage in ongoing process improvement. Excellent troubleshooting skill including, but not limited to, technical issues and business process related issues. Candidate should be able to work in a team environment or independently.

Skills:
  • 5+ years prior experience in full lifecycle programming (including analysis)
  • 5+ years .NET Framework experience
  • 5+ years asp.net Core 5.0 or greater
  • 5+ years MVC 5.0 or greater
  • 5+ years C#.NET
  • 5+ years VB.NET Required
  • 5+ years GIS and spatial data
  • 5+ years WCF Web api, REST API.
  • 3+ Years oracle database, stored procedure, trigger, and query.
  • 3+ years SQL server 2008 and
  • 2 +years SSRS Reporting and Sql BI
  • 2+ year LINQ Required 2 Years
  • 1 + year experience with single sign on Ex SSO, okta, oracle SSO, Microsoft SAML provider
