Requires positive energy, innovation, and a genuine passion for helping others. As a Virtual Claims Examiner, you’ll handle property losses quickly and efficiently, solely at the desk, focusing on customer expectations (both internal and external) along the way. You will analyze and process complex or technically difficult (up to $100,000) personal and commercial line property claims by scoping damages and completing an estimate or by obtaining a contractor's estimate for review. We're looking for inspired and driven individuals.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIESProviding outstanding customer experience.

Processes complex commercial and personal line property claims and ensures claim files are properly documented and coded correctly.

Examines insurance policies and other records to determine insurance coverage.

Coordinates vendor management, including the use of independent adjusters to assist the investigation of claims.

Remotely writes building estimates for cost of repair or replacement.

Prepares report of findings and negotiates settlement with claim parties.

Revises case reserves in assigned claims files to cover probable costs.

Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client, and agent or broker when appropriate.

Responsible for litigation process on litigated claims.

Reports large claims to excess carrier(s).

Develops and maintains action plans to ensure state required contact deadlines are met and to move the file towards prompt and appropriate resolution.

Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms other duties as assigned.

Supports the organization's quality program(s).

QUALIFICATIONSEducation & LicensingMust have an active Property Adjuster License ; Multi state licenses preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.ExperienceFive (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include knowledge of construction basics, property estimating software experience and in-depth knowledge of personal and commercial lines property policies, coverages, principles, and laws.

Estimate writing and sketching in Xactimate is required. Symbility is a plus

General construction knowledge and material identification

Contents and ALE handling is a plus

Multi-Peril handling is a plus

Skills & KnowledgeStrong customer connection/service skills

Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills

PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

Demonstrated commitment to timely reporting

Strong interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Good time management and organizational skills

Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

Travels as required.

In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial line property policies, coverages, principles, and laws

Knowledge of construction basics and property estimating software

Knowledge of appropriate application of deductibles and sub-limits

Good negotiation skills
