Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge judgment and skill are performed using the process in accordance with hospital policy, procedures and nursing philosophy. Essential Functions & Accountabilities

Develops a patient centered plan of care based on individualized needs.

Performs nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Demonstrates quality, safe and effective patient care.

Exhibits positive interactions to promote a healthy work environment.

Demonstrates standards of excellence which includes practicing nursing with core values of compassion, accountability, respect, teamwork and integrity.

Demonstrates understanding and executes quality and performance improvement plans. (only for RN evaluation)

Participates in decision making and takes actions based on ethical principles. (only for RN evaluation)

Provides timely and accurate documentation of patient care.

Item #8 - To be added to ALL job descriptions as last item Item #8 - To be added to ALL job descriptions as last item Item #8 - To be added to ALL job descriptions as last item Minimum Education and Experience Minimum Preferred Education: Associate Degree /Graduate of an accredited nursing program/university Must commit to a BSN within timeframe as indicated upon interview BSN Experience: Must have 1 year of RN experience or completed all Bayhealth Novice RN competencies 1 year experience in relevant specialty Computer/Software Knowledge: Computer literacy with experience in electronic documentation Experience with EPIC HER documentation Licensure/Certification Current DE RN licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to job offer BLS required ACLS / PALS may be required per manager's direction and timeframe Commit to seeking specialty certification within time frame as indicated during interview Nursing certification in relevant specialty
